News and Updates, April 13th, 2018: On April 13th 9pm (GMT-8), we were duly informed by the affiliate team in Lazada of the several issues they were facing and the changes they were going to make to ensure their affiliate program continuously remains top-class in Southeast Asia. This update is to inform you of those issues and future changes that will take place and will direct you to answers for questions you have regarding the matter.
1. Lazada will be disabling deeplinks on April 18th
The company has informed us of the hard-date they’re looking to stop its support for deeplinks. This means that all the deeplinks you have generated for Lazada will be inoperable and produce a 404 error page.
While this may be so, InvolveAsia has taken hard steps to ensure that your links still work.
What InvolveAsia is doing:
To ensure continuity of the links that you’ve already generated, we have applied a fix to ensure traffic you send reaches the product pages. This will ensure that you would have sent valid traffic to those pages and any conversions that happen after that will be captured and attributed to your account.
What this means on InvolveAsia’s platform:
While Lazada is disabling their deeplink support, you will still be able to generate a deeplink on InvolveAsia’s dashboard. Please check here for the guide on the workaround to this.
2.Lazada is facing a data sync issue
We have also recently been informed of a data sync issue which was thought to be resolved very quickly by Lazada but has not yet been fully fixed. The data sync issue is due to the migration to a different platform the company is going through.
What does this mean for me?
The data sync issue will mean that your conversions will show up in your report, albeit slightly later than the usual real-time turnaround that you’re used to.
Is this temporary?
Yes, it is. According to Lazada, the migration to a new platform is almost done, and the data sync issue should be fixed very soon. We will send out an emailer as and when it is completed.
Would this affect my conversions?
All valid conversions are captured, but due to the data sync issue, it will have a slight delay. We are working closely with the Lazada team to update everyone’s reports on an hourly basis when their data starts syncing.
Is this happening everywhere?
Yes, it is, and you are not alone in this. This issue is a universal one to Lazada. The product team at InvolveAsia is working tirelessly to ensure you don’t miss out on any valid conversions and sales you refer.
